Grandma & Uncle Ron

We had a great time with Uncle Ron and Grandma. We were able to spend time together, hang out and do fun things. We are so glad that they came to visit!!!

Mother's Day 2009

These are all the wonderful "homemade" gifts that my children gave to me for Mother's Day. What a treat to have four fabulous kiddos who (for the most part) appreciate their mom. It was a great day!

Rylee on crutches

So, Rylee was getting out of bed off the top bunk to get a drink of water. As she was getting down she landed wrong on her foot. She was crying and screaming and very upset. We looked at her foot, put some ice on it and finally she fell asleep. The next morning it was swollen, black and blue and she couldn't put any pressure on it. I called the doctor, took her in, got an x-ray and luckily it wasn't broken, only a sprain. She thought she was pretty cool going back to school with crutches for several more days.

Camping in the Backyard

We started off the night by having tin foil dinners which turned out soooo yummy! We then made smores which the everyone loves! Randy and the girls headed out to the tent while Thane and I decided it would be best to sleep inside... :) Everyone had a good time and we got to try out our new tent. It worked wonderfully.

Fiesta

They have a holiday here in San Antonio called "Fiesta". The kids get a day off of school and everyone parties. The girls all wore their flower head decor to celebrate.

Easter 2009

Thane's "babies"

We have a hole in the ground in our front yard where our water meter is. Somehow, when it rains hard here in San Antonio toads mysteriously appear in this hole (they disappear the same way). Thane checks the hole on a daily basis to see if there are toads in there. He LOVES holding and playing (torturing I am sure) with these toads. He calls them "babies". When they are there he is the happiest kid in the world!!!

Dahl Family

We had our wonderful friends from Florida come and visit for a week. We all had such a fantastic time. The kids loved being with each other and playing non stop!

Witte Museum

Makena's field trip was to

the Witte Museum.

They had a good time learning all about science and animals.

Rylee's Kinder Field Trip

Rylee had a great time at the Rodeo. She learned all about animals and why they are important.

Fire Pit Fun

We borrowed a neighbor's fire pit and made smores. Yummy!
